Sheet thickness
The indicated thicknesses are theoretical thicknesses. However, Steekflens will always use the standard trade plate thicknesses. As a result, the thickness of the blindspades could end up being higher than the theoretical thicknesses.
What is a PTFE sheet?
PTFE stands for Polytetrafluoroethylene, but is more popularly known as Teflon. It is a synthetic fluorocarbon solid that possesses very high chemical resistance. What this smooth synthetic is mainly known for is its low coefficient of friction, which gives it very good 'sliding properties'. In fact, there is no synthetic in the world with better sliding properties than Teflon!
What the material is also known for is that it is a very good insulator and has a relatively high melting temperature of 327 °C.
